What range is considered a good credit score or excellent?
Public Comments
- 760+
- 850 is the best
- 723 is the median credit score, so just try to stay above that.
- 740 or higher pretty much.
- 670 to 740 is considered good credit (no past dues, delinquent etc.. accounts-payments on time) anything higher is excellent and lower of course will cause problems, like higher interest rates, or no credit offered etc..
- The median is somewhere around 660. High 600s is considered decent to most lenders. 725 will qualify you for top rates at some lenders, while other lenders give the best rates to scores above 760. After this you really don't get better rates (exceptions exist) but some lenders will qualify you for things that they otherwise would not.
- 720 is the MAGIC FICO NUMBER ! ! ! If you have a 720 FICO Number NOT EVERYONE will finance you at VERY BEST interest rates available; BUT YOU WILL BE ABLE to at least FIND SOMEONE Who will give you the VERY BEST interest rates if you shop around. Doesn't that MAKE SENSE ! ! !
- It depends on what your buying. Below is a guide for what is "good" respectivly 660+ Sub Prime Lenders 680+ Mortgage lenders. 700+ Auto dealer / all credit companies. 740+ High Dollar Autos ( Porsche, Ferrari, Lambo) Excellent is anything over 740. Of coarse all the lenders would love an extremly high score.
