Has anyone heard of DSI Credit Repair Service? If you have are they a good credit repair company to use?

  1. Forget that! Anything THEY can do YOU can do for yourself. Those "Fix Your Credit" deals just do what you CAN, IF you would just take the time to do...
  2. You are better off calling your creditors one by one and making some arrangement with them. If they know you are willing to pay they will work with you. Work out a plan of payment looking at your monthly or biweekly income and then propose a schedule of payments. It will take self discipline but it is to be preferred over using credit repair services. You can do as much and more for yourself. Work hardest on the small amounts and then once they are paid off add what you were paying on those little ones to the next smallest and so on until you are paying on the big one. You will learn to budget and value of money by doing this. You will also reestablish your credit worthiness. Usually by doing this "lifestyle change" for two years will put you into good financial condition.
  3. These types of firms excel in one thing very well: taking money out the wallets of people having financial troubles. There's nothing they can do that you can't do yourself. Accurate negative information stays on your credit report for up to seven years....The only way to get it off is to negotiate, in writing, a "pay for delete" agreement. You can also try the debt validation trick. See link below....there's no guarantee this will work....but there's nothing to loose in trying to have all negative entries validated.
