free credit score in canada?
why is it that americans can actually get their free credit score online, but canadians can't? i realize i can go to the equifax and transunion sites and request it by mail, but how unfair is that? i worked at a finance company for three years, and am completely aware of how long it takes to print someone's bureau - seconds. it's my credit bureau, and i want access to it now - not in three weeks!! why is it so difficult and time consuming for me to get a hold of my bureau??? not so much a question, more of a rant... sorry! just a little miffed right now...

- The USA has 10x the population than Canada, so when you're building a website its 10x cheaper per user to build a site for the US Market than it is for the Canadian market. Plus credit scoring is different between the two countries. We use an R0 to R10 scale where theirs is points based. So its not a simple matter of adding a button to display the CDN score.
- We do not have free credit score in Canada. You can request free copy of your credit report from the credit bureaus but that does not include FICO score. I would recommend that you go online and pay Equifax Canada $23.95 and get Score Power which includes your Credit Report and Fico score. I do that every three months.
