- I do not know of any credit repair companies. If you pay your delinquent and overdue debts and continue to pay your bills on time your credit will get better. If you have a lot of open accounts, close some of them that you don't use. That will also help.
- You should pay your bills on time everytime from today. To remove the delinquent accounts from your credit report you can make a deal with collection agencies to pay them if they send you in writing that these bad debts will be removed from your credit report. Live within your means and don't spend money you don't have.
- There is way too much to answer here in this limited space. You can repair your own credit with a little bit of time and some writing. Of course it all depends on what "repairs" need to be done. Here are links to free services to help you http://www.ftc.gov/bcp/edu/pubs/consumer/credit/cre03.shtm#improve Building a better credit report. http://www.ftc.gov/bcp/menus/consumer/credit/reports.shtm Download a pdf file regarding how to dispute with CRA's http://www.ftc.gov/gettingcredit/ What you need to know about your credit. http://www.ftc.gov/bcp/conline/pubs/credit/crdright.shtm Credit and your consumer rights. http://www.fair-debt-collection.com/index.html Hope this is of help to you.
- anything they do you can do also. write letters to the companies and ask them to remove the accounts that are over 7 years old. (7 years from date of last activity-not 7 years sinced opened) they have to reply within a certain amount of days. no reply and they lose. you can also go to freecreditreport.com pay the fee to get your reports with scores. or go to annualcreditreport.com (no charge-everyone is entitled once per year for free report ) there is an option to dispute items. use that option to request removal. its what i did when i saw a negative account on my husbands report that was not his but his x wifes. he was not on the account when she opened it. it was immediately removed. no hassles at all. also any newer accounts can be negotiated to a lesser amount. do that to pay them off faster. Also, a good resource is... http://www.safelinked.info/jump.php?link=debt Take care.
