- Was the 642 score you saw in November from Transunion as well? The three credit bureaus typically will have different information, so the score from each may be different. You may want to go to http://www.myfico.com and order all three of your FICO scores.
- This is a huge drop that is being cause by something more than making or not making minimum payments. Pull your credit report and see what is happening.
- If you have late payments or if you apply for another credit then it lowers your credit score. If you think this is wrong then contact TransUnion to find out why.
- if you Applied for credit during that time, or in crease your debt, this will effect your Credit score, if you were late on a bill this will effect yoour score. everytime a company runs your credit, you loos points. if non of this happen, I sufgest for you to get a free cop of your credit report, review it and dispute things that are not yours, an investigation will be open and hopefully get to the botto of it.
- Go to https://www.annualcreditreport.com/ and get your free annual credit report to find out what's really going on. (this is the only place on the web you get your report WITHOUT having to sign up for services).
- identity theft could be the problem because the score dropped 99 points! thats huge for one month, look at all three credit reports from all three. www.annualcreditreport.com this site will give you all three for free once a year!
- I agree with Slimick. You need to get a copy of all three of your credit reports. 642 to 543 is a serious drop in your credit score. You need to find out what happened to cause such a drastic drop. If you find inaccurate things on your credit report, be sure to dispute them.
