- I would go with freecreditreport.com. I use them from time to time, and they are quite reliable.
- www.freecreditreport.com get you a free credit report and score from all three credit houses ONCE PER YEAR.
- You can go to one of the three credit bureaus and request a free copy of your credit report for free. I'll add the links below
- You can request a free credit report from any of the 3 credit reporting agencies - Experian, Transunion or Equifax once per year. There is a link here: http://www.experian.com/ I think they have to mail it to you, though. Requesting your own report does not count as an inquiry.
- Most companies who offer you a free score make you sign up for their credit monitoring system (or they say it is free for 30 days but most people forget to cancel). I would recommend that you get your free credit report from all three bureaus at: http://www.annualcreditreport.com It won't give your score but you can see your reports and clean them up for free. If you want to see your scores (and you haven't done so yet) then I would recommend purchasing all three from: http://www.myfico.com You can purchase their FICO complete package that will give you all three scores, as well as your report. It might be a good time to do that, especially if you never have or it has been some time since you have.
- Some credit card companies offer a free FICO score for opening an account with them. At least one that I know of provides an update of this score each month so that that you can track it on a monthly basis. And, yes, it shows up as an "account review inquiry" which is not seen by other creditors.
