do those companies that repair your credit really work? and which one should i use?

i would like to know what credit repair company will help my credit score go up legally.

1. They work, however they put a mark on your credit as well, which other creditors can see. They do something that you on your own can do. They call the creditors you owe money to, negotiate them down on what you owe, and negotiate a payment schedule according to your budget... You will need to be tough with these guys cause they will try to make it a more win lose situation in their favor, if you do it on your own be tough. The reason companies are out their that offer this service is because people don't have time to sit and negotiate their own debts. So they go to a consolidation company. If you can avoid it, then please do so.
