Credit Reports and Scores??
Does anyone know what website is the best to get your FREE credit score and report other than free credit report.com because they are a big scam. I need to check my credit in a bad way, but not have the worry of them charging me a fee every month because I forgot to cancel the membership after the 30 day trial like what freecreditreport.com does. They tell you that they need your credit card number to access your credit report but they say they wont charge anything on your card which is complete bull! Thanks very much for the help I am just tired of surfing the web for b-s sites that try to scam you.

- the website run by the credit bureaus is annualcreditreport.com
- Check out annualcreditreport.com. Also there are other on this site #4.You get it free once a year. No credit card needed. http://www.explainmycreditcard.com/protectID.html Goodluck
- try annual credit report.com or simply contact each of the 3 major bureaus and request your free report. by law, they must provide a free credit report to you once a year if you ask. the best thing in the future would be to arrange to get one from each agency every 4mos. in rotation so that you can keep up with your credit without paying for reports.
- I think the site is annualcreditreport.com. This site allows you FREE access to your credit reports by all 3 companies with no strings attached. It came into law in 2005 I believe by the government and allows you to check you credit reports for free once a year. They do charge a 5 dollar fee I believe if you would like to get your FICO scores also but, the look at your credit report is free withe no strings attached. Good luck!!
- Credit score is never free unless you sign up for something, but then you are still paying for it, just a different way. But as mentioned already, you can get a free reports once per year from each of the three major reporting agencies at a https://www.annualcreditreport.com/cra/index.jsp
- Ask the bank for a loan that you can't repay. I'll bet they will send you a credit report explaining why you can't afford that humongous loan!
- My view on credit reports and scores is a dim one. The reporting agencies routinely have old/bogus information and it's a nightmare to get it corrected. The scores are also wrong most of the time. There is no consistency between the BIG THREE - Trans Union, Equifax and Experian. You could have 700 on one and 500 on another. Of course, creditors will always use the LOWER one when deciding to grant you credit. This is so they can jack the rates up. You would be wasting your money to pay for your reports that are more than likely wrong anyway. Unless you plan to use the information to see what is on there and SUE your way to good credit. Debtorboards.com is a good website to help you do this very thing.
- Free Credit Report -- www.annualcreditreport.com Free FICO score -- nowhere that I know of, however, you can sign up and cancel before 30 days for many websites
