Credit Score..?
Hello, I have a question..I had one past due account and my score was 574 but when I paid it all off it went to 598 within a month, but now its no longer raising cuz i am in the process of closing the account and have no other open accounts. I tried to apply for others and I keep getting denied, I want to raise my credit score but not apply to too many places cuz I dont want to have too many inquiries on my account, but I dont want to do those prepaid debit/credit cards. any ideas???? no1 will approve me, I didnt think 598 was THAT horrible..

- A bad credit score is not the end of the world. Use cash or debit card for all of your purchases. Cash in hand is always more impressive than a good credit score. I know people who are debt free (even their house) and have ample money in savings/investments but get turned down for credit cards because they have no credit history. Doesn't that sound backwards to you? Would you rather be wealthy (with little or no credit score) or poor and in debt (with a great credit score)?
- its actually low.. why are you closing your cards.. that will hurt you now.. you should leave them open and not use them for a while. and stop applying ... give it time.
- Have you ever thought about how many people in our country don't have a perfect credit score? You will surely be surprised to know that over 30 million Americans have a below average credit score. Boosting your credit rating takes some work. There is no quick fix to increasing your ratings. Repairing any damage takes time, but it also does not spell doom! So what is credit rating anyways? It is a number given to assess and reflect your creditworthiness. Your credit score will be a number valued from 300 to 850. While numerous factors can be attributed towards this rating, your payment and debt history are more important than others. To start with, you shall need a copy of your credit report. If everything in the reports is good, then you can be rest assured that you will have a good credit score. Getting your credit reports is easy and pain free.
