What can I do to make my credit score go up?
I ruined my credit when I was 18 years old by not paying alot of stuff and it went to collection. Anyways I am now 24 years old and rebuiding my credit. I have had 3 cars in my name, 2 paid off since I was 18 but that hasn't seemed to help.My cars were the only thing I made sure was paid on time but now I need to fix my credit to buy a home. I did recently get a credit card thru capital one so I think my credit is getting better b/c I wasn't able to get credit anywhere for 6 years, up until now. Any suggestions on improving my credit and credit score? Please don't lecture me people, I was 18 and I know I screwed up. Thanks

- honestly the only thing you can do is continue to pay your bills on time and with time your credit score will improve. good luck
- Pay your bills on time, use the card sparingly, use no more that 30% of the limit and pay it off every month. Seems like those reports have been on you credit for about 6 years, they fall off after 7. If anybody tries to collect on them dispute them, if they file against you state the statute of limitations has run out. Hang in there for another year or two and you should be on your way. By using the card sparingly and paying it off (my guess is they started you with a $300 limit) You will show responsibility and they will raise your limit which will also raise your score. These things take time hang in there
