1. With the way the real estate market is going, your credit has to be better than it did say a few years ago. "Top-tier" credit scores for home loans are like 680+ (best rates). You can probably go down to low 600's. Below that will be very difficult.
2. unless you will have a super big down payment you are looking at least 650!!!
