help with credit score

free credit scores

How come the Crdit report got free, varies from Paid Subscription?

I got my free credit report of Transunion and My Score was 710. I have noticed some error, which I want to correct so I have subscribed to Transunion which is just 5days after. When I loged in, I see my credit score reduced by 25 points, looking for any negative report there was nothing other than one possitive report form Mortgage co. How come my 25points vanished within 5 days without any negative posting. I got both report printed . Any body have any idea?

  1. Your credit report scores can change for many different reasons...one of the most common reasons is that the information in the report updated ....meaning that your creditors sent in the new info for the month. You may have used a card, added something, have higher balances and less credit available - there are a lot of things that can have an effect. Also - you do NOT have to pay or subscribe to any of the three major agencies in order to dispute information that is in your report. Your access to all three major reports is FREE, if you want. The only time they charge is if you want the score. I am including the link to the site for you.
  2. This is a question you will probably need to ask them. It sounds like a load of baloney to me & sounds like a scam to get you to buy something. You should not have to pay to correct an error. The link I posted below stated quite clearly: The credit reporting agency has to investigate your issue within 30 days, unless they consider it frivolous &/or unwarranted. They also have to provide you with a written explanation of the the changes & a free copy of the amended report. + if you ask they must send the amended report to anyone who requested it for credit purposes.
  3. There are 3 different credit reporting agencies, have you check your report with all 3? There may be some discrepencies between the different reports but you should be able to fix it if you know what the problem is. Good luck!
