Do I have a chance of getting into a Ivy League College?
-My freshman year I had a 3.5625, my sophomore year I had a 3.875, this year I plan on finishing up w/ a 4.6875,and my senior I plan on finishing up w/ a 4.75, thus giving me a 4.21875. -I am only in one club which is National Honors society -I have a 325 volunteer hours, which I did at two nursing homes - I received a award my freshman year for having the highest average in my math class out of three classes - For three years I have been honored w/ an award for keeping up above a 3.5, and will get an award this year for keeping up above a 4.0 - I have so far tooken four AP classes and have mades A's in two of them(taking two now), and have four Spanish credits - I have not gotten my SAT scores - And I am going to take more AP classes next year

- idk, i would say your an acadmic seven out of nine and for extracuriculers your pretty weak since your only in once club, id say a 3 out of nine
- Colleges will ask for your unweighted grades. That means you can't get more than a 4.0. Sounds like you're doing well, but unless you've done something original, like published a book, put out an album, done original research, run for office, or started a business or non-profit, you've got about the same shot as everyone else who will be applying.
- You sound like a pretty good candidate. I don't think the number of outside activities you have is as important as that you stuck with them, and reflect that you are passionate about them in your admissions essay. With that said, Ivy Leagues can pick pretty much whoever they want, and it's really a crapshoot. But you won't know unless you apply! Check the def. of "crapshoot" below, LMAO! P.S. you will have "taken" four AP classes, not "tooken", proofread your admissions essays!!
- I like answering ur questions, they're sort of similar to my college questions as well. Except I'm not really shooting for an Ivy League college, but still a good college nonetheless. (My desired major isn't really in any of the Ivy schools) Colleges do look at the unweighted GPA so your "overall GPA of a 4.2" right now is going to be converted based on a 4.0 scale. I'm judging that your system has a 5.0 scale like my school district (although it's nearly impossible to get a 5.0) If you do well on your AP classes, you should have a good shot. Work on your grades and everything. You can shine through your volunteer experience, but remember that it's quality, not quantitiy. You may have done 325 hours of community service, but that's not going to be nearly as important as the experiences you've gained out of them. Congrats on your highest average award in math, I'm bad at math so I'd never get that award rofl. I wish we had an award for keeping above a 3.5 and a 4.0. If your SAT scores are not in the 2000+ (more like 2200+), it will be difficult to get into the colleges. If you need to retake the SAT, do so.
