Any tips on how to get a good credit score?

Trying to start a good credit score from scratch.Any tips would be greatly appreciated.

3. Start out with the lowest interest credit card deal you can find. Make sure to make all monthly payments on time and not to max out any credit cards so that you don't get "dinged". Always try to pay a little more than the scheduled payment, even $5.00 more is fine. Use credit cards very wisely and always ask yourself whether you really need that *whatever* you want to buy on credit. There's a difference between needing something and wanting something, so don't be dazzled by things you see.
4. I have always had a pretty high credit score. When I was 18 I got 2 credit cards. When I wanted something I would be sure I had the money and then pay for it with the credit card. As soon as I got the bill I would send the money I had saved up for whatever I was purchasing. Try and use it as much as you can but make sure you ALWAYS have the money to pay the bill off BEFORE you spend it.
