Will I get different outcomes on my credit dispute?

I am fixing to dispute something on my credit report. I will be sending 2 letters, to Equifax, TransUnion and online to Experian. How likely is it that I will get differant responces back. Or is that impossible? Should I send them all together at once? Or does it matter? Thanks in advance, for listening to my ignorant questions lol! Won't know till I ask. Ok thanks Guys i will send to all 3!

  1. It is not necessary to file a credit dispute with all three credit bureaus. You only have to submit a dispute to one of the three. If the outcome results favorably for you, they will report the results to the other two credit bureaus.
  2. It may look like all 3 bureaus own your reported item, but really only one does. Then they report to the others. If you disputed a Transunion item to Exper, and Equif, they may just forward that to Transunion.
  3. I find that it is best to dispute the same accts. (if it is reporting to all 3 bureaus) at the same time since the credit bureaus operate independently of each other. The outcome of your disputes may differ at all of them. For instance, TransUnion and Experian may delete an item from your files and it may remain at Equifax. You can't photo copy your favorable deletion from TransUnion and Experian, and send it to Equifax as proof that it was removed from those two bureaus and then hope that Equifax will remove it too. Each bureau operates seperately. If this is your first dispute send them a photo copy of your driver's license, and a copy of your phone bill. You should blacken out all information that you do not want inputed into your credit file. The key to clearing up inaccurate information in your files is simple patience, and preserverance. Always wait at least 30 days or more in between your disputes. Good luck!
  4. The first answers are 100% WRONG. Each Credit Reporting Agency is independent of one another. So you must dispute the information with each agency that the incorrect information is showing up on. It does not matter if you do them at the same time or not, but if you send it to only one and they fix it that does not automatically fix the other two. You still must send it to the other two individually. So it is usually to your advantage to do all at once in order to get it taken care. Ideally you should get the same response back from each of them, but it is possible to get different responses.
