If I pay with a MC convenience check can I dispute with credit card company.?
I am wanting to pay for a vacation from an independant travel agent. She wont take a credit card unless in person. She will let me use a convenience check among other options. I wondered if I use that method & dont receive the tickets as promised. Can I dispute this with the credit card company as I could with a MasterCard pruchase?

- I don't see why not. I suggest calling your credit card company beforehand to make sure.
- You could use a convenience check but read the fine print. The credit company may be charging a much higher interest rate for the check than charging on your card.
- yes just keep track of the check
- I would say that it might be iffy. Contact Mastercard to verify since many the checks are viewed as cash advances instead of a purchase. It may well worth the effort to go and present the card in person.
