How do you repair your credit after you experienced a financial crisis?

Can you recommend any books or websites that lay out a a specific plan to follow? How long does it take? I heard it is very difficult.Thank you.

  1. I use these sites myself. http://www.creditinfocenter.com/repair/ http://www.creditinfocenter.com/rebuild/ http://www.creditboards.com
  2. MyFico.com has some very great information. They also have a forum that addresses a wide variety issues and steps that you can take to improve upon them. Credit repair is very ambiguous and I do believe that this is the way that the credit bureuas would like to keep it. At Myfico.com you can post in the forum and read questions and answers from other people that may have the same or similiar experiences. Just a thought. Its a favorite of mine. Best of luck! j
  3. Breathe and give yourself 24 months to rehabilitate your credit. You didn't get into this situation overnight so don't expect closure to happen overnight as well. Honestly, the process is not difficult. It does, however, requires patience, which is a rare trait in today's fast-paced economy.
