- Make your payments on time every month.
- First go to annualcreditreport.com and run all 3 of your report. Go over each one of them alot over and over and over look for double, inaccurate dates, and when I say double you have to look at account number not names cause they will change them to screw you. See if you amounts are correct that you owe if you still owe if not make sure they state the right thing for example paid-collection. Then go to Aspire, Bank of Marin or maybe Orchard they are not the best and u will pay an higher interest rate and even a yearly if not monthly fee but they work. They report the the credit bureaus every month and that is what you want. You have to use these cards don't charge more the 30% of your credit limit and don't totally pay off each month but pay way over your min. due. I know this sounds stupid but I had a 450 score and last time i looked i was at 680 less then 2 years later. I also choice a company called Creditexpert.com it is only 9.95 a month and lets me have access to my credit report everyday to make sure people are adding things on my credit just because and it has happened. People think if u had some problems and your credit got screwed they have a chance to screw it up some more. You can also dispute things on all 3 of your reports. That also does work too because I am sure these people hate me but it is there job to investigate these things. It will work give it a chance. If you can't tell I am a little obsessed this is kinda fun for me now. I have done it for people at work even. :)

- If you need to raise your credit score a little bit, you can do it on your own. Simply pay all bills on time, try to lower your debt by paying the min payments on all but the card with the highest interest rate - that one you want to pay all you have on it. Then once that is paid off, work on the next one. If you have past judgments or serious debt, you need to do a TON of research to work on getting it taken care of. Know your debt. Make a list of exactly what you owe to whom at what interest rate. Taxes, student loans and child support first. High interest credit cards and HELOC second. Low interest card, loans and mortgages last. A common mistake is to pay off old debt. Know the statute of limitations for collections in you state. Do not pay or promise to pay if you are over or even close to the limitation. If you even promise payment - the clock starts over and it's up to 7 or more years on your credit report. Also, child support, taxes and student loans are debt that can not be forgiven in bankruptcy. Make arrangements with the collecting agency to stay in good standing on these. The IRS and the courts in the case of ordered child support can and will freeze bank accounts, garnish your wages or tax returns and can make you serve jail time.
