- I go usually to local credit union and they do it for free. Don't publish your SS# online anywhere it's risky. Make money today at myprivatedorm.com
- Annualcreditreport.com 1-877-322-8228 credit bureau (all cities) 1-800-288-2585 Experian-1-888-397-3742 P.O. Box 2002 Allen, Texas 75013 Equifax-1-800-685-1111 P.O. Box 740241 Atlanta, Ga. 30374 Trans Union-1-800-888-4213 2 Baldwin Place P.O. Box 1000 Chester, Pa. 19022 You are entitled to one free report each year. Call or write for it. If you want your scores, they do charge extra for those, like $5.00..if you call you can have it all sent at once.
- For about $14.95 a month, I have credit monitoring at www.transunion.com (True Credit). I can update my credit report daily and see what is reporting along with my credit scores. I can also file disputes online from here as well for TransUnion and Experian. Equifax, I have to call or write a letter. I am not penalized FICO wise, because these inquiries are considered soft inquiries. Along with this, I get $25K of identity theft insurance. It also notifies of any inquiries that are done, and new accounts opened in my name within 24 hours of the reporting. That way, if I am a victim of identity theft, I can act on it pronto. It is well worth the expense and I highly recommend it.
- You can get free credit reports from www.annualcreditreport.com but credit reports are not the same as a credit scores, which are not free. For a fee, you can get your score from www.myFICO.com
- Check out credit monitoring services. There are a few good ones. As a credit repair specialist, I use and recommend True Credit. MyCreditKeeper.com is also good. These places only give you FAKO scores though. If you want your true FICO scores, you must get them through myFICO.com. If you are interested in TrueCredit, use this link (it's thru Wal-mart and will save you a few bucks every month.) https://www.truecredit.com/products/optimizedOrder.jsp?versionID=0&package=TriBureauCMU&formName=freeTriBureauCMUChoice&cb=WalMart Once you have pulled your credit, learn how to optimize your credit scores at the site below:
