Does credit score improve if the collection debt is paid off.?

I recently reviewed my credit report and found that i had a collectionfor a medical bill of $265. I have since paid that amount in full. Please advise if my credit score will improve at all and if so how long will it take to improve. Thanks

  1. it will improve over time
  2. It may over time, but it would've really improved had it been completely removed from your report once you deleted it. Even when a delinquency's paid it won't have anywhere near a positive effect as if it were deleted altogether
  3. Yes over time your credit score will improve. But your score will improve with good payment history on your good accounts.
  4. I think you need to request copies of paid bill from you doctor or hospital and send fax to experian and offcourse let billing department know in your Hospital they are really in power to remove that as fast as they can... 1) Let Experian or TransUnion know about your bill problem 2) Request Billing department in Hospital to hurry up and remove this record from your credit history, Just tell them that you need to take a loan right now and it can't wait. They will do it fast for you 3) Finall step is to send fax to all Credit Union and Hospital Fax at least three times !!!
