What is the best way to improve my credit score?

- Pay your bills timely, even if you cannot pay more than the minimum amount. Try to pay more if you can, because interest will kill you financially.
- Pay off old debt and pay bills on time.
- I definately agree with the above answers. If you have multiple bills/debts then select the smallest one and pay as much as you can towards it while paying the minimum payments on all other accounts. This way you will be rid of that particular item more quickly than if you paid equally on all accounts. After that debt is paid off, select the next smallest debt, rinse and repeat. Oh, and stop accumulating new debt immediately. Eventually you will be out of debt.
- In my personal expirence pay your bills on time, get ahold of the creditors and explain your situtation. The phone call is your best stratagy instead of ignoring the bills as I have in the past. Most creditors are willing to help you out when the know why you have fallen behind. I went from a credit score of the high 400's to the lower 600's in 8 months. Hope this helps.
- Pay your bills on time at least the minimum payment. Lower your debt and this will improve your debt ratio. Check your credit report for any inaccuracies and contact the reporting company to get them cleaned up. Creating a good recent credit history will help mitigate some of your past blemishes.
- if you have bad credit you can start by making payments whatever you can afford. or if you have no credit start by getting something small first like a cell phone and make payments on time every month. will help or try applying for a credit card and make sure your payments are on time
