What is the fastest way to improve your credit score.?

- pay all your bills on time
- Pay off everything you have in collection and then request the credit bureaus to remove the item.
- Start paying bills on time. Pay more than the minimal amount. Consolidate. Cut up all credit cards. Stop spending so darn much.
- pay the exact amount you have to pay and dont pay the minimum.... i know, i work at a mortgage company and you wouldn't believe the credits we get here
- Don't cut up your credit cards. Activity is good. If they see that you regularly use your cards and then pay them off it actually improves your score. Put your day-to-day spending on cards and then pay it off immediately. Your going to spend the cash anyways, you might as well get the benefit of the credit activity. Obviously pay any delinquent bills off and try to get the items removed from your report. Also, it is good to have multiple lines of credit, but if you get to many at once right before the report is checked, then that looks bad. It is very good to have available credit. Try to get your limits bumped up, but again not too quickly or right before it is checked because that looks bad.

- Try to reduce your balance limit(b/l) ratio, remove erronous information from your credit report (if necessary dispute and try removing them asap), plan your budget carefully, pay off your debts. But above all if you really need to do something you really have to have that passion in you. Best of luck.
- a lot of good suggestions here. Credit scores are based on 3 types of debt and your public records. Installment debt, revolving debt and mortgages. To repair past damages you should make sure you are current with all your debt and, if at all possible, hovering around 30% of your balances...this is a magic number. (DO NOT max out credit cards...it is better to have 3 cards at 30% than to have 1 at 90%). A couple of credit repair companies have been mentioned, I prefer www.lexingtonlaw.com use the code #4617 to receive a reduced price. They are very good and don't cost that much.
