
credit score?
i owe about $800.00 in credit cards and i was wondering if my credit score will go back up....there about 1 months late in bills...so do u think my credit score went down and if it did will it go back up when i pay them back off

- Your credit score will go down if you are late on a payments. You can check your credit score free once a year.
- Just because you pay your credit cards off doesn't necessarily mean your score will go right back up. It takes time to build credit. You should always make sure you pay your credit cards on time, but I don't think that just because you have $800 on them it will effect it that negatively. Sometimes repaying your cards slowly, but on time, will actually improve your credit score, i.e., paying the minimum + 5% of the balance.
- Yes it will go up after you pay what is owed ,your scores change every time there is a change made to your credit report
- Yes, being current on your debt improves your credit score. The thing that will hurt it even more will be to let them go more deliquent and have your credit limit zeroed out so that your available credit goes away.
