4. One normally cannot get their credit score for free. This is how the big three credit bureaus make money. You may already know that you are entitled to obtain free credit reports from all three bureaus, but will need to pay to get the scores. You can apply for a loan, but make sure the lender will get your scores and at least tell them to you. You are not required to accept or take the loan you applied for.
