How do I get a copy of my "free" credit score and report?

  1. annualcreditreport.com Will give you access to the three major credit reporting agencies.
  2. annualcreditreport.com for report don't know about score, I think that cost $7 extra
  3. The credit report is free at annualcreditreport.com. You will be charged if you want to see the credit score (I do wish it was free as well)
  4. You can get your credit report at http://www.annualcreditreport.com It does not include your score though, you'll have to pay for that.
  5. Do NOT use those free credit report companies. They are 3rd party services that actually do a credit INQUIRY -- which results in actually LOWERING your credit score. Instead, contact one of the big three credit companies, Experian, TransUnion and Equifax, directly and request a copy. Some states allow for free copies from certain agencies. If not, paying $10 is still better than a "free" one which lowers your credit.
  6. Apply for one of those credit cards that come through the mail...if you get rejected, there's a toll free number recommended for you to call to get your free report: (normally $8.00, but free because you were denied credit)... notice it's a report only that you get, not your score. For full details on acquiring a report AND your score, head over to the Experian website: www.experian.com .
  7. Nothing is free my friend.Although there are many places you can get a free credit report it usually hinges on you signing up for some sort of services.I think if you contact the credit bureau you may get one for next to nothing but not free.
