- freecreditreport.com
- You can contact experian.com, transunion.com or equifax.com. Your first copy is free. You can order another copy after 30 days, I think that costs $5.
- http://www.annualcreditreport.com I have listed below wikipedia as a source of recommendation for this site.
- THE ONLY PLACE TO GET ALL 3 OF YOUR CREDIT REPORTS IS www.annualcreditreport.com. This is the website that was set up for consumers by the passsage of the FACTA legislation allowing us consumers to see what's in our files. ANY OTHER SITE IS TRYING TO SELL YOU SOMETHING OR WORSE WILL CAUSE YOUR CREDIT SCORE TO DROP FROM THE INQUIRY. Good Luck
- You can get your official score from each of the 3 reporting companies. These companies have set up a 1-800 number where you can ask to recieve one over the phone. Do not trust any free credit report sites except those officially authorized by the Federal Trade Commission which include the 3 main companies that compile your credit score (Equifax, Experian, and TransUnion). My source includes official government information regarding free credit reports and how to get one. It doesn't make sense to trust other credit reporting sites when you can get information officially from those that actually compile your credit score. "The law allows you to order one free copy of your report from each of the nationwide consumer reporting companies every 12 months."
